I do not diagnose or treat specific health problems. I do not prescribe or administer medication. I strongly recommend continuing any existing medical treatments and continuing to take medications prescribed by conventional medical practitioners and/or alternative practitioners. The client is solely responsible for his or her own health and medical care, as well as for continuing such care. The services offered are intended to stimulate the body’s self-healing powers and to support spiritual development.
Reiki serves to activate the body’s self-healing powers and does not replace a diagnosis or treatment by a physician or alternative practitioner. No diagnoses, therapies, or treatments in the medical sense are performed, nor is any form of medicine practiced in the legal sense. The Reiki practitioner is not required to have any medical knowledge or skills, as no medical or alternative medical treatment is provided.
The sessions cannot replace medical treatment or treatments provided by alternative practitioners. The Reiki practitioner considers collaboration with doctors, alternative practitioners, and other therapists to be very important. Therefore, ongoing treatment should not be interrupted or discontinued, nor should any treatment that may be necessary in the future be postponed or omitted entirely. The responsibility for decisions lies entirely with the client.
No promises are made to the client that a cure will occur. It is the client’s own responsibility and decision whether to continue or discontinue visits to the Reiki practitioner. Before a session, the client is informed about what to expect during the sessions, as well as how the fee is structured and calculated.
Reiki is not a medical treatment and, accordingly, does not cure specific symptoms or replace medical treatment.
